Hot Chocolate Cookies

I was searching through some of my Christmas cookbooks and I came across this awesome recipe. It is a quick recipe and  is perfect to go along with... you guessed it.. hot chocolate. It's a hard cookie that's great for dipping in your warm drink. Yum!

The recipe is quite simple. You'll need six ingredients.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup of milk chocolate chips, melted
1 cup flour
Mini marshmallows, cut into small pieces.

Preheat your oven to 350F and lightly grease your cookie sheet. Cream the butter, sugar and salt together until it's mixed really well. Add 1/4 cup of the melted chocolate chips. (You'll use the rest for the topping). Once the chocolate chips are mixed in, slowly add the flour and blend until it's all combined. Using a tablespoon, place the dough onto cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Flatten the cookies with the bottom of a glass or a fork. Bake for 15 - 17 minutes. Watch them carefully so that they don't burn! Let them cool for about five minutes, then glaze the tops of them with the rest of the melted chocolate chips. Place the marshmallows on top and enjoy!

Did everyone check out Faith's recipe from yesterday? I'm thinking about adding this recipe to my "to-do" list for Christmas.
